I just ran up to my local CVS (I have two within a mile of one another) but I now have a favorite. The manager there was wonderful and said he loves people who use coupons because it helps him turn over inventory quicker, and he makes money. So, he told me that he encourages couponers to come into his store. He also said other CVS managers might give us [couponers] a hard time, he never will! How fabulous is that??
I was looking for the Maalox and Finish deals, discovered they are out of the Finish (boo!), but the manager when I asked for a rain check said that he knew they were out and that there was a problem and he was placing an order tomorrow, and that it would be here Friday and to come back in Friday, and that if he didn't have any at that time he would most certainly offer me a raincheck by then. He was saying there were a few others looking for the same product/deal and that they run their own blogs. I told him I did too, and he said he would tell others to check my site out. So, that is why I now have a favorite CVS store!!! Whoo-hoo!!
Anyhow- sorry about the tangent! Here's what I learned and got today as far as the Maalox deal was concerned.
2 - Maalox Liquid 12oz ($6.79)
1 - Maalox Chewables 65ct ($5.39)
Total = $19.97
Used (3) -$5/1 Maalox Qs - From SS 1/9 & -$1.59 ECB (from Free Hershey Deal)
Paid $3.38 oop
Received $10 ECB (making this a $6.62 MM - for me)
Even w/o any ECB - this is becomes a $5.03 MM
Here is what I learned, that it does not have to be exactly $20 for the ECB to print out, having said that I don't know what the exact price needs to be to trigger the $10 ECB, I would guess within $.05-$.10 of $20. If you are feeling daring or wanting to take a risk you try other combinations of the Maalox deal and see if it triggers at a less amount total then what I purchased.
