I promised to bring show you a widget on how we are doing with your Emergency Family Savings fund, and last week on the CentsAble Investments I told you all about SmartyPig, if you missed out on that you will want to HEAD ON OVER and read all about SmartyPig - it's an awesome savings account and has some outstanding and unique features that other saving accounts do not have.
You will find my savings account widget on the side bar of this blog site, also I have attached one at the bottom of this particular blog.
My goal is to save at least $1500 for back up in the case of small emergencies, right now I am 14% of the way there. (When I say small I mean things such as car issues, house issues, small medical issues. Not issues such as losing a job or becoming disabled or being in the hospital for prolonged periods of time.)
I have quite a few items I am getting ready to list on both eBay and Craigslist to sell and will place what I earn into this account to help build it up a bit more and faster.
Next week I will bring to you my personal family budget. I am not going to list exact amounts but percentages of what I plan to spend from our earned income on expenses.
Have you started you Family Emergency Savings Fund, or do you already have one?
