$202 Worth of Groceries - Spent $46 |
I finally made it out to Publix and Walgreens (and will probably head back to Walgreens later ;). How did I do – well, Ok! J As you will find out in my CentsAble Budget Report I am making some changes to my grocery budget and list, which is going to be a challenge, but I think a very possible one. I have reduced my monthly budget from $300 to $240 (or about $60 a week). Also, I am now switching over to organic milk and eggs this year, and hopefully if I can handle it in my budget, at least 50% of my meat over to organic. But before I get to hasty, I want to make sure my $240 a month budget is capable of contributing to this new factor.

Right now I am under budget but I have to admit that I still have some other items to purchase. I am in need of some chicken and ground beef, which is on sale at Albertsons and will be heading over that way later today. Plus I need to load up on some fruit & veggies for the rest of the week. I have a feeling I will technically be over a bit this week, but I was kind of expecting that, however it is really the monthly amount that I am most concerned with.
I still have $13.37 to play with this week, my guess is that I will spend an additional $30-$40 on meat and produce. But next week I won’t have to buy any meat so I have a feeling it will all balance out in the end. J
How did you all do? Do you have any questions, can I help you with putting together your grocery list, please let me know. I am here to help! J
