Quick Shopping Trip: Aldi

I ran out to Aldi today and bought all of the following produce items:

• 6lbs of Gala Apples
• 5lbs of Bananas
• 1lb Baby Carrots
• 1 Stalk of Celery (24ct)
• 3lbs Navel Oranges

I spent a total of $11.31 oop, and after doing some price comparison, had I bought these exact same items at Publix this week I would have spent almost $18.00 (and those are sale prices at Publix). Not that I am knocking Publix, because we all know I am a Publix girl. But their meat and produce sales are not always that impressive, and I tend to get better deals elsewhere. And 9 times out of 10 I purchase my produce at Aldi.

Aldi Produce Deals Starting Jan. 26

Here is what is new this week for the 'produce picks of the week' at Aldi. I am going to be heading there in a bit to stock up on my weekly produce needs.

Baby Carrots 1lb pkg. ($.69ea)


Yellow Onions 3lb Bag ($.99ea) - $.33lb

Pineapple, whole/fresh ($1.59ea)

Quick Shopping Trips: Target, Walgreens, & Aldi

Sorry no pics :( of this loot either. But over the past couple of days I made a couple of outtings for some needed items, and items that were on sale. I hit Target, Walgreens, and Aldi.

First let me say I had a $10 Target Gift Card from filling a new prescription and that helped me in making some of my purchases.

Total Groceries Bought: $25.48
Total Amnt OOP: $0.00 (yep nothing, I was able to use my $10.00 GC, and still have $.50 left on it)
Total Amnt Saved: 100%!!

Walgreens
1 - Thermacare Heat Patch, trial size ($2.50) - Receive $2.50 RR
-$1.00 RR from last week (I needed to use this as it expired today)

Total Groceries Bought: $3.16

Total Amnt OOP: $1.67

Total Amnt Saved: $1.49 (47%)

ALDI

SIDE NOTE: I can't for sure say how much I saved, but when you see all the produce I purchased for only $12.66, I think I did really well!!

Total Groceries Bought: $12.66! - I am very happy with that and all the produce I was able to purchase!
